A Day in the District highlights each County Supervisor’s favorite spots, hidden gems and the facts and anecdotes that make their district special. Representing Bermuda is District Supervisor, Jim Ingle.
Whether you’re a young professional, a family with small children, or a retiree, the Bermuda District offers something for everyone.
This time of year, when we all become eager to enjoy Spring’s mild temperatures, I like to visit Chester Village for a bite to eat and to check out what’s happening at Chester Village Green. There, you’re sure to find farmers markets, live music, and other fun and family-friendly activities during the weekends. The Chester Library is situated beside the green and offers a variety of programming to include author talks and book clubs. Also next to the green is the Perkinson Center for the Arts & Education, which features artists and performers from all over the world. They offer classes to children, teens, and adults as well.
If you appreciate history as much as I do, you’re sure to enjoy Henricus Historical Park. Henricus is a living history museum that takes visitors back in time over 400 years to the Citie of Henricus, the second successful English settlement and Virginia Indian site of Arrohateck.
No matter what your ideal day looks like, you’re sure to find something fun to do in the Bermuda District, which offers convenient access to shopping, arts and entertainment, and dining.
